Yacutinga Lodge
Yacutinga Lodge is a unique, sustainable lodge in Argentina with incredible organic architecture. It is built inside a pristine environment of a beautifully chaotic, rainy jungle just steps away from the Brazilian border, which is the Iguazu River.
Far from modern civilization, but close to one of South America's top attractions: Iguazu Falls. The natural wonder is about a two-hour drive from the lodge.
Yacutinga Lodge is situated deep in the Misiones Jungle in one of the last remnants of the Interior Atlantic Forest, which was once the second-largest forest in Latin America until the early 20th century.
Misiones Jungle
Today, this remaining forest is known for its high biodiversity. It is home to countless endemic species, nearly 500 bird species, and over 700 species of diurnal (active during the day) butterflies.
Yerba mate plantation
Argentina's pioneering eco-lodge opened its doors on January 1, 2000, with a mission to promote an environmentally friendly concept.
By staying here, you actively support the protection of the local flora and fauna, in contrast to the typical large-scale commercial businesses.
Yacutinga's buildings occupy less than 1% of the 570 hectares of protected private land on which they are located.
You can see organic and Gaudí-inspired architectural traits throughout the lodge, including rounded walls, stained glass windows, and a tasteful use of warm, earthy colors.
Yacutinga is one of a few lodges in the Misiones province and is the first business in Argentina to receive Rainforest Alliance verification for sustainable tourism.

Double room with jungle view
The lodge has accommodations scattered throughout the jungle, surrounding the main building at a distance.
There are six double rooms and 14 twin/triple rooms
Each eco-hut contains four rooms designed in a cozy rustic style. The rooms include a private bathroom with hot water and electricity available 24 hours a day. It may not sound extraordinary, but deep inside a rainforest, it is considered a luxury.
All rooms have a nice jungle view. Sitting quietly in the room, you can spot hummingbirds, various bird species, agoutis (cute little rodents), armadillos, and large groups of butterflies.
Yatei suite
If you come as a couple, the newly introduced "Yatei" suite offers a unique experience. It gets light through its stained-glass holes, and the window opens to the lush greenery in the bathroom.
