Vildriket-Nordic Wildlife Park
At the main entrance of the wildlife enclave, you get a key to enter and exit the park. You also get a remote control for the big gate to drive your car to the hotel's parking.
Varghotellet - The Wolf Hotel
The hotel is surrounded by a fence, and the rooms are located on the side facing the wildlife park with the wolves.
The Wolf Hotel has only five rooms, and there is no staff on site.
You eat the complimentary breakfast at the Berghotellet, which is just outside the park.
Idet - Double room on the ground level
The rooms have large floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the pine forest where the wolves live. So, you can view the wolves' everyday lives from your room window.
The hotel has three double rooms and two family rooms (with the possibility of two extra beds).
Grytet - Family room on the higher floor
The interior is decorated in a typical Scandinavian style, with a wooden parquet floor and two window-facing armchairs, which have the best view when the wolves approach.
Gömslet - Family room on the ground level
Spending a night in the middle of a wildlife park full of majestic predators and meeting wolves face-to-face through the hotel window is an experience everyone should try.
You will never forget being woken up at 6 in the morning by a wolf concert when the park's 21 specimens start howling!
Morning tea and some fun with the wolves
You can boil a cup of tea, sit by the window with a bunch of plush pillows, and interact with the animals.
The cozy wood-fired sauna also has large windows facing the wildlife park.
So even when you sweat in the Finish sauna while beautiful background music plays, you can still observe what's happening in the forest.
Outdoor fire pit to grill your food
Around the wildlife park is an elevated three-kilometer (~two miles) wooden boardwalk, which you can safely walk on in a loop while observing wild nature. Completing the circle takes about an hour at an average pace.
Several spots along the way offer places to sit and rest, enjoy the view, or grab a bite to eat. The best time to take a walk in the park is in the early morning or late evening when the animals are most active.
Muskox
You have a good chance to spot various Nordic species: moose, reindeer, muskox, brown bears, owls, wolverines, lynxes, foxes, hedgehogs, and other wild animals.
Lynx mother and her kitten
You can visit the park on your arrival and departure days, throughout the day, in any season of the year.
