Location:

sapa Vietnam Southeast Asia
Nature

TubOtel Sapa is located in a serene area within northern Vietnam's stunning landscape. The hotel has uniquely designed honeycomb/tube rooms with views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and Muong Hoa Valley.

The honeycomb rooms at Tubotel Sapa were designed by stacking units on top of each other, which helps save a large part of the area for room construction. Since the room parts are produced on-site, they only need to be assembled during construction, resulting in speedy completion times.

TubOtel Sapa Aerial

The tube accommodation resembles the world of hobbits rather than the high-tech industrial solution of honeycombs.

TubOtel Sapa in the North of Vietnam

Each tube is submerged into the ground, with only the front facing the outdoors.

TubOtel Sapa Rounded Tube Rooms Below Ground

Even the small gardens with stone pathways, colorful lamps, and lush greenery remind you of a fairy tale.

TubOtel Sapa Colorful Tube Rooms

This type of honeycomb and round tube room is highly mobile and suitable for the mountainous terrain in Sapa. It can be easily dismantled and moved to a new location if needed.

TubOtel Sapa Tube Rooms with Garden Access

The honeycomb/tube-shaped accommodations are colored red, green, yellow, and blue—probably so you don't accidentally get into someone else's room.

Tubotel Sapa offers 49 rooms, divided into three types: doubles/twins, family rooms for four, and family rooms for six occupants.

TubOtel Sapa Tube Room

The interior design and furniture are mostly made of wood, and each room has its own bathroom. The small rooms are designed with a minimalist approach to maximize the limited space.

TubOtel Sapa Tube Room Interior

The rooms have little else apart from a big bed, hangers for your clothes, an airco, and some handcrafted Vietnamese decorations.

TubOtel Sapa Tube Room View

TubOtel is super affordable, with prices similar to those of a hostel. Even if you stay solo in one of the unusual rooms, it's cheap enough compared to a hotel.

Mountain View from a Room at TubOtel Sapa

When you open the curtains in the morning, there is nothing in the way to enjoy the view of Sapa's majestic mountains and the Muong Hoa Valley.

TubOtel Sapa Room Mountain Panorama

If you look down at Sapa town, you can even spot Hotel de la Coupole, one of the most beautiful hotels in Vietnam.

TubOtel Sapa Garden
TubOtel Sapa Swimming Pool in the Evening

Tubotel's most surprising feature—considering its affordability—is the outdoor swimming pool built into the edge of the hill, overlooking the mountains and the town of Sa Pa.
