Sekeping Kong Heng - Channeling The Past In Historical Malaysia

Location:

Ipoh Malaysia Southeast Asia

Sekeping Kong Heng is a boutique hotel located in Ipoh, an old British colonial town with a slow pace of life near to some fabulous hiking trails. The three-story building was originally a home for actors who performed in an adjacent theatre that burnt down in the 1950s.

Sekeping Kong Heng was refurbished into a unique hotel with a coffee shop on the ground floor. The café is famous for its Western cuisine and features everything from delightful cakes and burgers to artisan coffees. The main building was rejuvenated carefully to preserve its original character while adding a new courtyard with a stairway to the upstairs accommodation. Additionally, there is a lounge area with beanbags and hammocks for those lazy afternoons.

Your impressive suspended glasshouse has a TV, Wifi, and a rain shower. Then, when you are ready to go, you can grab a bike from reception and head out and explore this fascinating town.
