White Deer San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge - A Chalet Revelation

Location:

San Lorenzo di Sebato Italy West Europe
MountainNatureTraditional

This 16th Century farmhouse is situated in the region of South Tyrol and is owned by a couple big in the fashion industry so you can expect things to be elegant. The amazing renovation includes underfloor heating, selected antiques, and artworks. The seams of history are preserved in the design just as they run through the original timber of the chalet. The lounge is open-plan with a large fireplace; there is a parlor, old-fashioned stübe and a “den” with a huge TV. The stübe is also the dining room and you can eat local favorites like porcini and pasta. You can also head into the kitchen to learn some recipes from the head chef.

Your room is individually designed, has an en suite and exponential views over the mountains and meadows. Outside, there is a lovely garden and whirlpool where you may wish to pretend you are a salmon flapping in the water beneath the black expanse of the star-spangled sky. Beyond the mountains, you can see the lights of the town in the distance.

Somewhere in western Belize, a waterfall is tumbling into a turquoise pool that almost nobody sees. It isn't on a popular trail or a backpacker's bucket list.
