Once home to a trendy nightclub (think: Paris’ version of NYC’s Studio 54) where Andy Warhol, Robert de Niro, the Sex Pistols, and even the Rolling Stones frequented, Les Bains, is now an elegant hotel in the heart of Paris. But not to worry, there still remains a small club in the basement (complete with a replica pool that sits behind a glass partition!) to catch a live show and party the night away.
While all 39 rooms are custom designed with rich furnishings and marble accents, the “Les Bains Suite” is an accommodation worth writing home about. Complete with a king-size bed, living room, kitchen, and terrace, this suite is peppered with works by French and international artists and even includes a library of multilingual works to peruse.
While travelers can find great food all around Paris, Hotel Les Bains is home to a restaurant worth visiting. La Salle-à-Manger is “a chic neo-brasserie,” decorated with ceiling domes and deep purple decor to offset the rich mahogany tables. The menu is seasonal, and all ingredients are sourced from local and sustainable producers. Honey even comes directly from the hotel’s roof!
As the hotel’s website puts it, Les Bains is “a chic location, inclusive, mixed, diverse, inventive, cross-cultural, Bohemian, historic, elegant, welcoming... and new.” Feel like a star and check it out the next time you’re in Paris!
