The former telephone exchange building on Budapest's Horváth Mihály Square awaits guests in its former glory, with five-star opulence and Hungary's second-largest staircase.
The inner districts of Budapest hide many architectural treasures waiting to be discovered. One of these is undoubtedly this beautiful red-brick, stucco-decorated historic building, which hides further secrets within its latticed ornamental gate.
The former Józsefváros Telephone Center, built between 1910 and 1917, was the dream of Vilmos Ray Rezső, the designer of the Törley Castle, Mausoleum, and the Margaret Island Water Tower. The renowned architect of the era created a building balancing the border of historicism and art nouveau.

Kozmo Hotel Suites & Spa in the building of the former Józsefváros Telephone Center
The original elegant building's old exterior was restored as thoroughly as possible by its Spanish owners during its six-year renovation. The architectural gem, furnished with designer furniture, is now home to the five-star Kozmo Hotel Suites & Spa, a member hotel of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group.

The reception area features floor-to-ceiling glass, perfectly framing the inner courtyard. You can find works by painter and sculptor Lluis Leo in the courtyard and the foyer.

Terraza
Every centimeter has been carefully designed, including the hotel's main staircase, which has been preserved in its spectacular and original beauty, with its ceramic covering that is strikingly similar to the original.

Hungary's second largest staircase
The hand-painted coffered ceiling, faithfully restored to the original, authentic burgundy Zsolnay tiles, wrought iron candelabra, and lacy railings will take your breath away!
After the Parliament, this is the second longest main staircase in Hungary and is as imposing as the space surrounding it. The grand staircase once opened into offices, but today, the path leads to the rooms and the Kozmo restaurant.

Library
The common areas are characterized by spaciousness, exceptionally high ceilings, modern furniture, and minimalist decor.

The designer furniture was manufactured in Spain based on unique designs specifically and exclusively for Kozmo Hotel.
