If you could time travel, would you? If the answer is yes, you can get a taste of the past at Hotel Nordoy. Built in 1925, in the heart of the historic Tel Aviv neighborhood of Nachlat Binyamin, Hotel Nordoy is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the city. Not just that – it’s been run by the same family the entire time, adding to its authentic charm.
The hotel retains many original features (including the same shade of pink on the façade as 100 years ago!) but has been updated to modern standards. Don’t worry, though; the renovations didn’t hurt its old-timey charm. Decorated mainly in beige, brown, and gold, all rooms and suites have a decadent feel. But you’ll find that contemporary art and design elements liven up the space and give it a fresh feel.
And finally, for the highlight of the hotel: the rooftop. Overlooking the vibrant Nachlat Binyamin, there’s a slice of green paradise. Catch some tan on the sunbeds, escape to the shade or take a dip in the rooftop jacuzzi. The iconic Nordoy dome on the roof is where the spa treatments take place, so definitely consider booking one.
