Hoshino Resort Risonare Yatsugatake - Futuristic Japanese Resort

Location:

Hokuto Japan East Asia
DesignLuxurySpa

Let’s say you like skiing. Well, the Yatsugatake Mountains and the Japanese Alps provide some excellent pistes. And let’s say you want to experience the neon hive of Tokyo. And let’s presume you hanker after the latest architecture and design. Then you will want to stay here.

Risonare is Italian for ‘resonate’ and connects with the intentions of renowned architect Mario Bellini, who wanted to design a resort to bring people and their environment into harmony.

Loosely based around a traditional Italian village, rooms are small ‘houses,’ and there are communal spaces and plazas where people can feel the well-being of the community.

KDa is an architectural practice in Tokyo. They designed the Garden Chapel, which won silver in the D&AD Awards, which are the Oscars of the design world.

In addition, some lucky couples have had their wedding ceremony in this mystical chapel under the soft gaze of Mount Fuji. To date, the hotel has collected 13 international architecture and design awards and remains one of Japan’s most unique resorts.
