In Chinese tradition, the front façade of a building is highly important as it is the ‘face’ of the building. The lovingly restored entrance and red bricks of this converted textile mill give Hotel Lodz a classic and beautiful face, like that of Ava Gardner. The interior has been designed by the specialist team of Jestico + Whiles giving a unique flavor to this unusual space.
The hotel has won enough awards to make me have to scroll down the page to read them all, that’s a lot of awards. When you stay here, you can enjoy the permanent exhibit of Polish and International modern art which hangs throughout the hotel. You will also be impressed by the way the features of the original building have been preserved.
The town of Lodz is an up-and-coming cultural center and nearby you can ski on Mount Kamkieńsk and enjoy the thermal baths of Uniejów. Weddings are big here and often, you will find the large ballroom full of people celebrating these special days. There is even an annual wedding expo with everything from a bridal fashion show to dance lessons. Mazel tov!
